§ 01About Valenor Capital

A firm built the way we ask founders to build: patiently.

Valenor Capital was founded in 2016 in Warsaw on a simple observation: Europe was producing world-class technical founders faster than it was producing world-class institutional capital. We set out to close that gap — and to do it with the standards of the best firms anywhere.

§ 02History & timeline

§ 03Mission, vision & values
Mission

Back the enduring

To provide the most dependable long-term capital and counsel available to founders building companies of generational consequence.

Vision

Europe's institutional standard

A venture firm measured not by the pace of its deployment but by the durability of the companies it helps create.

V·01

Conviction

Few investments, deeply researched, sized to matter. We would rather miss a trend than dilute our attention.

V·02

Candour

Founders receive our honest view — in diligence, in board rooms, and in the hardest quarters. Trust compounds; flattery does not.

V·03

Permanence

We plan every partnership on a ten-year horizon and structure our funds so that no market cycle forces our hand.

V·04

Stewardship

We manage other institutions' capital — pensions, endowments, foundations — and hold ourselves to a fiduciary standard in every decision.

§ 04Investment approach & process

How an investment happens at Valenor.

01

Introduction

Most companies reach us through founders and operators in our network — but every note to investments@… is read by an investment professional, and we respond within ten business days.

02

Partner engagement

If there is a fit, a General Partner leads the work from the first meeting. Expect deep technical and market diligence — and access to our full network of operators and customers as part of it.

03

Decision

The partnership decides together, typically within three to five weeks of first meeting. Terms are straightforward, founder-standard, and honoured without renegotiation.

04

Partnership

Board service, planned reserves for every future round, and the operating platform for the life of the company — an average of 7.4 years, often longer.

§ 05Network & why founders choose us

Our network is our second fund.

Valenor's network spans 400+ senior operators, 60+ portfolio founders, and limited partners across three continents — deployed for hiring, go-to-market, and follow-on capital. 96% of surveyed founders say they would choose Valenor again; 92% of our active portfolio has had Valenor participate in every subsequent round.

128 VP-and-above placements into portfolio companies in the last three years.

§ 06Global strategy & responsible investing

Global investment strategy

We invest from Lisbon to Helsinki and across North America, with a thesis that the next generation of category-defining companies will be born global. Our three offices operate as one partnership with a single investment committee and a single standard.

Responsible investing principles

Valenor is a signatory to the UN Principles for Responsible Investment. We assess governance, security and societal impact in every diligence process, decline categories inconsistent with our principles, and report ESG posture to our limited partners annually.

The best partnerships begin with a straightforward conversation.
